Nintendo Co. this week said it will sell the Nintendo 3DS XL Aug. 18 at U.S. retail.
The Nintendo 3DS XL will include a 4.88-inch main display, 90 percent larger the current Nintendo 3DS, and include a 4GB SD card. It will hold an MSRP of $199.99, $20 more than the standard 3DS.
Finally, Nintendo will partner with Namco Bandai to develop a new installment of Smash Bros. to the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U.
Nintendo launched the Nintendo 3DS handheld with 18 software titles Mar. 27.
The hardware includes two screens, a 3D Depth Slider, a Circle Pad, a 2GB SD Card and 3-D display technology that does not require the use of special glasses.
