Microsoft Corp. this week began holding a new Games on Demand sale in the Xbox Live division of the Xbox 360 that discounts select download titles by up to 75 percent off.
Discounted titles at $4.99 include Bionic Commando, Bomberman Act: Zero, Rockstar Table Tennis, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, and Virtua Tennis 2009.
The Xbox 360 sold 160,000 units to rank as the No. 1 game hardware in May in figures provided by NPD Group Inc.
The ranking marks the 15th consecutive month the Xbox 360 has held above 40 percent share of total next-generation console sales.
Microsoft in Apr. recorded a 16 percent decline in the division that includes the Xbox business in third quarter results.
The Entertainment and Devices division posted revenue of $1.62 billion, a 16 percent decline from the year prior.
