Nintendo Co. this week said it will partner with Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush to offer demo stations of Mario Kart 7 for the Nintendo 3DS during the ‘Big Time Summer Tour’ in the U.S.
Between July 5 and Aug. 5, attendees at select Big Time Rush concerts can experience Mario Kart 7 at Nintendo 3DS demo stations.
“We couldn’t be more excited to take Mario Kart 7 out on the road for our tour this summer,” said Big Time Rush.
“We are all huge Nintendo fans and our new partnership provides a cool way to share the fun of Nintendo 3DS with people all over the country.”
Mario Kart 7 includes new characters like Lakitu and Metal Mario, and offers an optional first-person driving mode controlled by the gyro-sensor.
The final game includes customizable karts, local wireless matches, and online races.
Nintendo launched the Nintendo 3DS handheld with 18 software titles Mar. 27.
The hardware includes two screens, a 3D Depth Slider, a Circle Pad, a 2GB SD Card and 3-D display technology that does not require the use of special glasses.
