Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation Vita beat the PSP in the latest Japan retail figures.
The PS Vita sold 13,383 units between June 4 and June 10 to rank as the No. e hardware for the week.
By comparison, the hardware sold 7,551 the week prior.
The hardware ranked one title in top 10 sales, Bandai Namco Inc.’s Mobile Suit Gundam Seed: Battle Destiny at No. 3 with 40,297 units sold.
Meanwhile, the PSP sold 10,038 units to rank No. 4 in the same period.
The PS Vita, which began sale Feb. 22 in the U.S., is sold in a Wi-Fi only model at $249.99 and a 3G model at $299.99.
