Sega Corp. this week detailed the Dragon Canyon level to be included in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3, Playstation Vita, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360, Nintendo Co.’s Nintendo 3DS and the PC in late 2012.
Dragon Canyon is based off the 1995 release Panzer Dragoon. The level includes bleak, ancient architecture from a once thriving empire.
The final level will include land, sea and air racing options.
The follow-up to Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing will include unique land, air and water vehicles that can transform to take advantage of select terrain.
Returning racers like Sonic the Hedgehog, Dr Eggman and AiAi join newcomers, including Gilius Thunderhead of Golden Axe and Vyse of Skies of Arcadia.
Tracks will include dynamic variations that require users to transform mid-race.
The final game will include the All-Star bar to power up faster and a new fair weapon system that allows users to block or evade incoming fire.
In addition, the title will feature a Grand Prix mode, Battle Arenas, and online multiplayer functionality.
