Best Buy Co. Inc. this week began selling Nintendo Co.’s Nintendo 3DS with two bonus game titles following lower-than-expected fiscal demand for the handheld.

This week, customers who purchase the Nintendo 3DS will receive a copy of Steel Diver and Pilotwings Resort at no additional cost.

Each title carries an MSRP of $39.99 each.

Nintendo in Apr. recorded a $460 million loss for the fiscal year amid lower-than-expected sales of the Nintendo 3DS handheld and the Wii console.

For the 2011 fiscal year ended Mar. 31, the company held an operating loss of $461.2 million.

In the year it sold 13.5 million Nintendo 3DS handhelds, down from a target of 16 million.

The company will sell a Nintendo 3DS Midnight Purple SKU May 20.
