Toys R Us Inc. stores this week began holding a 2-for-$60 game sale for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 amid a decline in U.S. game demand.
This week, customers can purchase two select PS3 or Xbox 360 game titles for $60.
Video game sales fell 25 percent from one year prior to $1.1 billion from $1.47 billion in Mar. in data from NPD Group Inc.
Hardware sales declined 35 percent to $325.5 million, non-PC software sales fell 25 percent to $553.1 million, and accessories dipped eight percent to $222.5 million.
