Sega Corp. this week said it will release Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed to Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3, Playstation Vita, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360, Nintendo Co.’s Nintendo 3DS and the PC in late 2012.
The follow-up to Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing will include unique land, air and water vehicles that can transform to take advantage of select terrain.
Tracks will include dynamic variations that require users to transform mid-race.
The final game will include the All-Star bar to power up faster and a new fair weapon system that allows users to block or evade incoming fire.
In addition, the title will feature a Grand Prix mode, Battle Arenas, and online multiplayer functionality.
