EA Inc. this week released the Rent a Server Trailer for Battlefield 3 for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360, and the PC.

The trailer details the option to Rent a Server in order to hold fully customized online multiplayer sessions.

Users can configure all maps, modes and settings for invite-only games or public matches.

Users can rent a server for 1, 7, 30, or 90 days. Price varies per region. The option is available now.

Battlefield 3, released Oct. 24, includes the Frostbite 2 engine, online vehicle warfare with land, sea, and air vehicles, and combat across the U.S., Europe, and Middle East.

The title sold five million units in the first week of availability.

EA in June will release the Battlefield 3: Close Quarters DLC. The DLC will include multiplayer maps with tight and vertical construction.

Future DLC drops include Armored Kill for large-scale combat and End Game.
