Sony Corp. this week said it will release System Software Update v1.65 to the Playstation Vita.

System Software Update 1.65 will include minor enhancements, including a Notification Alert option, an ‘After 10 Minutes’ Power Save option, Arrow Icon to alert new activities in LiveArea, and Caps Lock support for the on-screen keyboard.

Sony previously released System Software Update v1.61 to the PS Vita at launch, which included the Maps application, video recording functionality in the Photo application, ability to publish stories about products rated at the Playstation Store to Facebook, player information display in near application, and the Mac OS release and Windows update of Content Manager Assistant for Playstation.

The PS Vita is sold in a Wi-Fi SKU at $249.99 and a 3G SKU at $299.99.
