Microsoft Corp. this week announced the availability of HBO Go, Xfinity, and MLB.tv to the Xbox Live division of the Xbox 360.
Current Xbox Live customers require subscriptions to each service in order to access the respective content via Xbox Live.
HBO Go includes live and on-demand access to HBO content; Xfinity from Comcast Corp. offer on-demand entertainment, and MLB.tv offers live and on-demand games in high-definition.
All three services offer Kinect functionality for voice and motion commands.
Microsoft in Jan. said the Xbox 360 has sold 66 million units globally. In addition, it has sold 18 million Kinect sensors and holds 40 million Xbox Live members.
For 2011, the Xbox 360 held 49 percent of video game consumer spending with $6.7 billion, with $2.1 billion in hardware sales and $4.6 billion in games and accessories sales.
