EA Inc. this week released a patch update to Battlefield 3 for the Playstation 3.

The major update includes significant gameplay, vehicle, and weapons fixes for the title.

In addition, users can turn off anti-aliasing to reduce input lag.

EA will release the Battlefield 3: Close Quarters DLC in June.

The DLC will include multiplayer maps with tight and vertical construction.

Future DLC drops include Armored Kill for large-scale combat and End Game.

Battlefield 3, released Oct. 24, includes the Frostbite 2 engine, online vehicle warfare with land, sea, and air vehicles, and combat across the U.S., Europe, and Middle East.

The title has sold 12 million units to date.
