Best Buy Co. Inc. this week discounted select titles for Microsoft Corp.’s Kinect for Xbox 360 to under $30 in a new game sale.
Through Mar. 24, titles discounted to $29.99 include Ubisoft Inc.’s Rayman Origins, Rabbids Alive & Kicking, and 2K Games’ Nickelodeon Dance.
The titles typically sell between $39.99 and $59.99.
Microsoft in Jan. said the Entertainment and Devices division, which includes the Xbox business, held a 15 percent increase in second quarter earnings.
The division held revenue of $4.24 billion, a 15 percent increase from the year prior.
Xbox Live paid subscribers increased 33 percent to total 40 million members.
In the past fiscal year, 8.2 million Xbox 360 units were sold. The hardware has sold 66 million units worldwide to date.
Finally, it has sold 18 million Kinect sensors globally.
