Capcom Co. this week said it will release a Special Ops Mission DLC to Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 Apr. 10 in the U.S.
The Special Ops DLC, to be available for download at no cost, is an all-new mission in which users enter Raccoon City as a member of Spec Ops to battle the Umbrella Security Service, zombies, and B.O.W.s.
Developed by Capcom and Slant 6 Games, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, to be sold Mar. 20, is a third-person team-based shooter set between events in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3.
In the game, users take on the role of an Umbrella Security Services soldier to destroy all evidence of an outbreak and eliminate survivors.
The final game will include four-player co-op functionality and competitive online multiplayer modes between Umbrella Security Service, US Special Ops, zombies and B.O.W enemies, and a Heroes Mode is a four vs. four online competitive multiplayer mode with classic Resident Evil characters.
The Limited Edition SKU will include the Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City game, Steelbook with exclusive art, foil sleeve, Umbrella Security Service embroidered patch, Spec Ops Field Unit embroidered patch, and eight bonus weapons at $69.99.
