Microsoft Corp. this week price cut Microsoft Corp.’s Kinect for Xbox 360 to under $100 this week in a new spring sales initiative.
Through Mar. 17, customers can purchase the Kinect sensor with three game titles at a sale price of $99.00, down from the $149.99 MSRP.
Microsoft in Jan. said the Entertainment and Devices, which includes the Xbox business, held a 15 percent increase in second quarter earnings.
The division held revenue of $4.24 billion, a 15 percent increase from the year prior.
In the past fiscal year, 8.2 million Xbox 360 units were sold. The hardware has sold 66 million units worldwide to date. In addition, it has sold 18 million Kinect sensors and holds 40 million Xbox Live members.
