Capcom Co. this week said the Nemesis Mode for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will be available exclusively for download in the Xbox Live division of Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360.

In Nemesis Mode the USS Compete against the Spec Ops in an eight-player battle in which users can nab a control unit to direct the Nemesis to destroy the enemy.

The mode will be available launch day at 320 Microsoft Points.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will be sold Mar. 20, 2012 to U.S. retail.

A PC version is said to follow the console release.

Developed by Capcom and Slant 6 Games, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is a third-person team-based shooter set between events in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3.

In the game, users take on the role of an Umbrella Security Services soldier to destroy all evidence of an outbreak and eliminate survivors.

The final game will include four-player co-op functionality and competitive online multiplayer modes between Umbrella Security Service, US Special Ops, zombies and B.O.W enemies, and a Heroes Mode is a four vs. four online competitive multiplayer mode with classic Resident Evil characters.

The Limited Edition SKU will include the Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City game, Steelbook with exclusive art, foil sleeve, Umbrella Security Service embroidered patch, Spec Ops Field Unit embroidered patch, and eight bonus weapons at $69.99.
