Target Corp. this week price cut Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect bundle by $50 in a new hardware initiative.

Through Mar. 10, the Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect bundle holds a sale price of $249.99, $50 off the $299.99 MSRP.

The Kinect sensor has sold 18 million units in global markets.

Microsoft in Jan. said the Entertainment and Devices, which includes the Xbox business, held a 15 percent increase in second quarter earnings.

The division held revenue of $4.24 billion, a 15 percent increase from the year prior.

In the past fiscal year, 8.2 million Xbox 360 units were sold.

The hardware has sold 66 million units worldwide to date.
