Retailer Amazon.com Inc. this week discounted Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox Live Gold 12-Month Membership to under $40 in a new sale.
This week, the Xbox Live Gold Membership holds a discount price of $39.99, $20 off the $59.99 MSRP.
Microsoft in Jan. said the Entertainment and Devices, which includes the Xbox business, held a 15 percent increase in second quarter earnings.
The division held revenue of $4.24 billion, a 15 percent increase from the year prior.
In the past fiscal year, 8.2 million Xbox 360 units were sold. The hardware has sold 66 million units worldwide to date.
