Sony Corp. this week released the first television advertisement for the Playstation Vita.

The advert includes PS Vita owners in the city cautious about nearby players in a competitive multiplayer game.

It closes with the hashtag #gamechanger and the tagline, ‘Never Stop Playing’.

Sony this week said it will employ a $50 million marketing budget to launch the PS Vita.

The PS Vita will be sold in the U.S Feb. 22 in a Wi-Fi SKU at $249.99 and a 3G SKU at $299.99.

The handheld will launch simultaneously in Europe, Canada and Latin America the same day.

The PS Vita will include dual analog sticks, a 5-inch multi-touch OLED display, 3G & GPS, front and rear touch panels, and a compass on three axes. It will utilize flash-memory game cards.

First-party launch titles include Escape Plan, Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational, Little Deviants, ModNation Racers: Road Trip, Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Wipeout 2048.

Key third-party launch titles include EA Inc.’s EA Sports FIFA Soccer, Ubisoft Inc.’s Lumines Electronic Symphony, Namco Bandai Games America Inc.’s Touch My Katamari, Capcom Co.’s Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Sega Corp.’s Virtua Tennis 4: World Tour Edition.

Amazon this week is offering $55 in bonus content to customers who pre-order the PS Vita 3G / Wi-Fi SKU. Bonus content includes an 8GB Memory Card, DataConnect Session Pass and a Playstation Network game.
