The PS3 sold 23,293 units between Jan. 30 to Feb. 5 to rank No. 2 in overall hardware sales.
By comparison, the hardware sold 22,924 to rank third the week prior.
Sony this week released Firmware 4.10 to the Playstation Network division of the Playstation 3.
The new software update changes the Playstation Network account name to the Sony Entertainment Network.
In addition, the update is said to offer improvements to the PS3 Internet Browser.
The SEN account name change will be applied to the Playstation 3 and the Playstation Vita. The PSP will not be affected.
