Nintendo Co. this week said Uggie, the canine star of the feature film ‘The Artist’, will act as spokesdog to promote the title nintendogs + cats for the Nintendo 3DS.
The Jack Russell terrier will star in a new television advert to promote nintendogs + cats and the new Pearl Pink Nintendo 3DS.
“Uggie didn’t have to sit up and beg for his role as Nintendo’s spokesdog,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “It’s truly our pleasure to work with a star of Uggie’s magnitude, especially to help animal lovers and portable gaming fans discover the fun of nintendogs + cats.”
nintendogs + cats allows users to care for 27 breeds of puppies and a selection of kittens using the Nintendo 3DS touch-screen, camera, and microphone.
Nintendo launched the Nintendo 3DS handheld with 18 software titles Mar. 27.
The hardware includes two screens, a 3D Depth Slider, a Circle Pad, a 2GB SD Card and 3-D display technology that does not require the use of special glasses.
