Apple Inc. may be developing a new television product that would incorporate smart TV services.
The product, dubbed iTV, may feature a range of online services, including Apple’s iCloud storage functionality, and standard streaming functions from service providers like Netflix Inc. and Hulu Inc.
In addition, the product will include sharing of user video content.
The product may be sold in the U.S. by June, according to a new report.
Apple currently sells the Apple TV at $99, a set-top box that offers streaming functionality for TV and movie content.
Former Apple CEO Steve Jobs told Walter Isaacson in his biography ‘Steve Jobs’ that he would like to create an interactive television that would be easy to use and sync with other devices.
