Sling Media Inc., a subsidiary of EchoStar Corp. this week released the SlingPlayer application to Amazon.com Inc.’s Kindle Fire.

SlingPlayer for Kindle Fire allows users to stream live television to their Kindle Fire tablet from a TV-connected Slingbox Solo or Slingbox Pro-HD device.

The application is available now at $29.99 via the Amazon AppStore for Android.

Amazon released the Kindle Fire in Nov. 2011 at $199.00. Features include the Amazon Silk browser, cloud storage, and digital streaming of movies and television content sold by Amazon.
