Retailer Inc. this week price cut Microsoft Corp.’s Kinect for Xbox 360 sensor by 20 percent in a new sales initiative.

This week, the Kinect sensor with Kinect Adventures holds a discount price of $119.99, 20 percent off the $149.99 MSRP.

Microsoft in Jan. said it has sold 18 million Kinect sensors in global markets.

The company will sell the Kinect sensor for Windows users in Feb.

Microsoft in Jan. said the company’s Entertainment and Devices division, which includes the Xbox business, held a 15 percent increase in second quarter earnings.

The division held revenue of $4.24 billion, a 15 percent increase from the year prior.

In the past fiscal year, 8.2 million Xbox 360 units were sold. The hardware has sold 66 million units worldwide to date.
