Sony Corp.’s Playstation Vita First Edition Bundle held in the top 20 pre-order products at Best Buy Co. Inc.’s online division due to strong advanced demand.
This week, the Playstation Vita Wi-Fi SKU ranked as the No. 17 best-selling pre-order product at Bestbuy.com.
The PS Vita will be sold in the U.S Feb. 22.
The handheld will launch simultaneously in Europe, Canada and Latin America the same day.
The Playstation Vita First Edition Bundle, to be sold Feb. 15, 2012, will include the PS Vita 3G / Wi-Fi SKU, 4GB Memory Card, limited edition case, a copy of Little Deviants, and will ship one week earlier than the stand-alone PS Vita SKU at $349.99.
The PS Vita will include dual analog sticks, a 5-inch multi-touch OLED display, 3G & GPS, front and rear touch panels, and a compass on three axes. It will utilize flash-memory game cards.
The Wi-Fi only model will sell at $249.99. The 3G model will sell at $299.99.
Sony in Jan. said the PS Vita has sold 500,000 units in the Japan market. It was released Dec. 17 in the territory.
