Pre-order sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation Vita First Edition Bundle climbed this week at Amazon.com Inc. amid demonstration of the device at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV.
This week, the Playstation Vita First Edition Bundle held a 13 percent sales increase to rank at No. 121 in Amazon’s Video Games division. It previously ranked at No. 137.
The Playstation Vita First Edition Bundle, to be sold Feb. 15, 2012, will include the PS Vita 3G / Wi-Fi SKU, 4GB Memory Card, limited edition case, a copy of Little Deviants, and will ship one week earlier than the stand-alone PS Vita SKU at $349.99.
The PS Vita will be sold in the U.S Feb. 22 in a Wi-Fi SKU at $249.99 and a 3G SKU at $299.99.
The handheld will launch simultaneously in Europe, Canada and Latin America the same day.
The PS Vita will include dual analog sticks, a 5-inch multi-touch OLED display, 3G & GPS, front and rear touch panels, and a compass on three axes. It will utilize flash-memory game cards.
First-party launch titles include Escape Plan, Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational, Little Deviants, ModNation Racers: Road Trip, Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Wipeout 2048.
Key third-party launch titles include EA Inc.’s EA Sports FIFA Soccer, Ubisoft Inc.’s Lumines Electronic Symphony, Namco Bandai Games America Inc.’s Touch My Katamari, Capcom Co.’s Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Sega Corp.’s Virtua Tennis 4: World Tour Edition.
