Sony Corp. this week demonstrated Resistance: Burning Skies for the Playstation Vita at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV.
The demonstration build featured a level with various Chimera that land on an ocean-side concrete structure.
Users can aim and fire at enemies using the dual analog stick setup, and point and aim grenades using the touch-screen with decent accuracy.
The title includes cover options that allow the main character to stick to nearby structures with the circle button.
In addition, the touch screen can be used to quick select a new weapon from the arsenal wheel.
The graphics engine was decent at 30 frames per second. Movement and animation seemed a tad slower than usual. In addition, an underground area relegated to complete darkness without sufficient lighting.
Resistance: Burning Skies will include an all-new story that follows New York fireman Tom Riley.
The title is said to include new weapons, new enemies, new cover system, and alternate fire touch-screen controls, like touch shooting and grenade tosses.
It will be sold as a post-launch title in the U.S.
