Sony Corp. this week demonstrated Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational for the Playstation Vita at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV.

The demo version included franchise options like the ability to choose a male or female golfer and several difficulty options.

On the green, users deploy standard swing controls by hitting the X button to start and stop the power meter and a final hit to determine precision.

On-screen camera options can be accessed using the touch-screen. A new camera view option utilizes the PS Vita gyroscope, which allows users to pan the screen in augmented reality to see the course.

In addition, users can choose to utilize the augmented reality with in conjunction with the rear camera to offer another depth measurement.

The graphics engine was fair at 30 frames-per-second. Golf courses and characters held solid builds against a bright color palette.

Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational will be sold Feb. 22 as a launch title for the PS Vita in the U.S.
