Dish Network Corp. this week announced new Hopper and Jack Whole-Home DVR solutions at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV.
The Hopper HD DVR and small Joey set-top boxes are said to offer a whole-home next-generation DVR system. The main Hopper unit includes three tuners, 2TB hard drive for 250 hours of HD or 1,000 hours of SD recordings, Bluetooth, and picture-in-picture functionality.
The Hopper includes a new feature called PrimeTime Anytime to record with one click all primetime TV programming on from ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC networks.
In addition, the unit can record six channels simultaneously, access Dish’s premium Blockbuster Home on-demand service, and includes TV apps like Facebook, Twitter, and Pandora.
Finally, users can watch live programming on-the-go with the Sling Adapter.
