Vizio Inc. this week announced an entrance into the PC market with a new wave of desktop and notebook products with Microsoft Corp.’s Windows 7 to be sold in spring 2012.

Products include two all-in-one desktop solutions, two notebooks, and one netbook.

Vizio PCs will include Vizio Internet Apps to provide content across multiple branded products including Vizio HDTVs, Blu-ray players, tablets and more.

“PCs are often associated with productivity and the workplace, routinely lacking the excitement that would be expected with what and how consumers want to use their PCs today – as an extension of their entertainment experience,” said Matt McRae, Chief Technology Officer, Vizio.

“Vizio wanted to change that. Our new line of Vizio PCs are truly high quality and consumer focused, delivering enhanced multimedia capabilities while upholding our high standards of performance, style and design.”

Vizio is a leading TV sales company in the U.S. The company currently sells a range of consumer electronic devices, including HDTVs, disc players, speakers, and tablets.
