Sony Corp. this week said it will partner with Netflix Inc. to allow Playstation Vita owners to stream content to their handheld device.

The company is working toward having the service available for PS Vita owners on or near launch day, Feb. 22, in the U.S.

The Playstation 3 console currently offers Netflix streaming functionality to view content via broadband.

AT&T will provide month-to-month data plans for the PS Vita in the U.S. starting at $14.99 per month for 250MB of data.

The PS Vita will be sold Feb. 22 in the U.S.

The Wi-Fi SKU will sell at $249.99. The 3G model will sell at $299.99.
