Motorola Mobility Inc. this week announced the Droid 4, a 4G LTE smartphone to be sold through Verizon Wireless.
The Droid 4 will include a half-inch thin chassis, 1.2 Dual-Core CPU, 4.0-inch qHD display, 1GB RAM, 5-row QWERTY keyboard with edge-lit keys, and Google Inc.’s Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread with upgrade functionality to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The final product will include an 8MP camera with 1080p HD video capture, Mirror Mode to display images to an HDTV, and speeds of 5 to 12 Mbps in a 4G LTE coverage area.
Accessories will include the 10.1-inch Lapdock 100, the 14-inch Lapdock 500 Pro with built-in webcam and Ethernet, HD Dock, HD Station, and vehicle navigation mount.
The Droid 4 will be available in the U.S. in several weeks.
