AT&T Inc. this week announced wireless data plan pricing for Sony Corp.’s Playstation Vita 3G SKU.
In Feb. the company will offer two data plans – a 250MB plan at $14.99 per month and a 2GB plan at $25 per month.
Data plans with be month-to-month and do not require a long-term contract.
“The data plans for the PlayStation Vita will give gaming enthusiasts a convenient and seamless path to connect to a nationwide mobile broadband network while gaming on the go,” said Glenn Lurie, president, emerging devices, AT&T.
“We are looking forward to providing PlayStation Vita users the ability to experience a new era of portable gaming through wireless integration. This introduces an entirely new gaming experience, with access to popular social networking sites, right on the device.”
PS Vita network features include ‘near’ to find or gift other owners in a nearby area, ‘LiveArea’ to access game information from the Playstation Network, and multiplayer gameplay with updated rankings and leaderboards.
The Playstation Vita will be sold Feb. 22 in the U.S at $249.99 for the Wi-Fi SKU at $299.99 for the 3G SKU.
It features dual analog sticks, a 5-inch multi-touch OLED display, 3G & GPS, front and rear touch panels, and a compass on three axes. It will utilize flash-memory game cards.
