Media Create Co. this week said demand for Sony Corp.’s Playstation Vita fell in second-week sales figures.

The PS Vita sold 72,479 units between Dec. 19 and Dec. 25 to rank as the No. 2 hardware for the week.

By comparison, the hardware sold 324,859 during launch week.

The hardware did not rank any titles in the top 10.

Meanwhile, the PSP sold 101,121 units in the same period.

The Playstation Vita, to be sold in Feb. 22, 2012, will include the dual analog sticks, a 5-inch multi-touch OLED display, 3G & GPS, front and rear touch panels, and a compass on three axes. It will utilize flash-memory game cards.

Hardware specifications include an ARM Cortex A9 4-core CPU, front camera, rear camera, built-in microphone, and Bluetooth 2.1.

The Wi-Fi only model will sell at $249.99. The 3G model will sell at $299.99.

The Playstation Vita First Edition Bundle will be sold Feb. 15.
