Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Nintendo 3DS have passed four million units according to a new report.

Japan-based data firm Enterbrain this week said the Nintendo 3DS has sold 4.1 million units in Japan to date.

The Nintendo 3DS just passed the 3M million sold mark in the second week of Dec.

Strong demand for titles including Capcom Co.’s Monster 3G, Super Mario 3D Land, and Mario Kart 7 have kept 3DS sales as the top-selling game hardware in Japan for consecutive weeks in the holiday period.

New titles to be sold in Q1 include Capcom Co.’s Resident Evil: Revelations (Feb. 6), Kid Icarus: Uprising (Mar. 23), and Konami Corp.’s Metal Gear Solid 3D Snake Eater (Q1).
