Nintendo Co.’s Mario Kart 7 for the Nintendo 3DS held in the top three game sales at Best Buy Co. Inc.’s online division due to strong holiday demand.
This week, Mario Kart 7 ranked as the No. 2 best-selling game product at Bestbuy.com.
Mario Kart 7, which began sale Dec. 4, includes brand new tracks that include underwater territory, in addition to trademark power-ups like mushrooms, banana peels, and shells.
It sells at $39.99.
Nintendo launched the Nintendo 3DS handheld with 18 software titles Mar. 27.
The hardware includes two screens, a 3D Depth Slider, a Circle Pad, a 2GB SD Card and 3-D display technology that does not require the use of special glasses.
