Nintendo Co. and retailer GameStop Corp. this week began pre-order sales for the Nintendo 3DS Circle Pad peripheral.
The Nintendo 3DS Circle Pad, to be sold Feb. 7, adds a second right analog stick to the Nintendo 3DS.
It carries an MSRP of $19.99.
Compatible titles include Resident Evil: Revelations and Metal Gear Solid 3D Snake Eater.
Nintendo in Dec. said the Nintendo 3DS has sold nearly 2.5 million units in the U.S.
The company said the Nintendo 3DS in Nov. sold 795,000 units, a 215 percent increase over the previous month.
In addition, Super Mario 3D Land has sold more than 625,000 units and is the fastest-selling Super Mario title in franchise history.
Nintendo launched the Nintendo 3DS handheld with 18 software titles Mar. 27.
The hardware includes two screens, a 3D Depth Slider, a Circle Pad, a 2GB SD Card and 3-D display technology that does not require the use of special glasses.
