Sales for the Steve Jobs autobiography ranked as the top-selling book of 2011 at Inc.

This week, Steve Jobs ranked as the No. 1 best-sellers in Amazon’s Book division for 2011.

Nielsen Company in Nov. said Steve Jobs sold 379,000 copies in the first week of availability.

Written by Walter Isaacon, Steve Jobs is an exclusive autobiography based on more than 40 interviews with Jobs conducted over two years.

Jobs cooperated with the book, though he asked for no control over what was written or to read it before it was published.

Jobs Oct. 5 died after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He revitalized Apple’s sales with the release of the key products, including the iMac in 1998, followed by the iPod music player in 2001, iPhone smartphone in 2007, and the iPad in 2010.
