The Motorola XOOM Family Edition, which began sale exclusively at Best Buy in Oct., includes Google Inc.’s Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS, 1GHz Dual-Core CPU, 10.1 IPS HD display, 16GB Memory, 5MP camera with flash and 720p video webcam, front-facing camera, and $40 worth of applications pre-loaded.
The Family Edition SKU includes Kid Mode by Zoodles, an application that locks the Home button and allows to only access content deemed acceptable.
In addition, the product will include QuickOffice Pro HD, Adobe Flash, and access to more than 250,000 apps at the Android Market.
