EA Inc. this month said it will release the Back to Karkand DLC for Battlefield 3 to the Playstation Network division of Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 next week.
Back to Karkand, to be released Dec. 6, is a themed expansion pack for maps from Battlefield 2 reimagined in the Frostbite 2 Engine.
The DLC Pack includes three new vehicles, ten weapons, new Assignments, and five new Trophies.
Battlefield 3, released Oct. 24, includes the Frostbite 2 engine, online vehicle warfare with land, sea, and air vehicles, and combat across the U.S., Europe, and Middle East.
It is sold for the Playstation 3, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 and the PC.
EA Inc. in Oct. said Battlefield 3 sold five million units in the first week of availability.
