Pre-order sales for Nintendo Co.’s Mario Kart 7 for the Nintendo 3DS held in the top 30 this week at Amazon.com Inc. due to strong retail demand.
This week, Mario Kart 7 ranked as the No. 28 best-selling product in Amazon’s Video Games division.
Mario Kart 7, to be sold Dec. 4, will include brand new tracks that include underwater territory, in addition to trademark power-ups like mushrooms, banana peels, and shells.
It carries an MSRP of $39.99.
Nintendo in Nov. said the Nintendo 3DS has sold 1.65 million units in the U.S.
It price cut the handheld to $169.99 in Aug.
