Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Wii ranked as the fourth best-selling game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data.
Media Create Co. on Fri. reported that the Wii sold 11,782 units between Nov. 7 to Nov. 13 to rank No. 4 in overall sales.
By comparison, the Wii sold 11,725 units the week prior.
The hardware ranked three titles in the top 10, including Capcom Co.’s Sengoku Basara 3 at No. 6 and Kirby’s Return to Dreamland at No. 9.
Nintendo Co. in Oct. posted a $927 million loss in the first six months of the fiscal year amid slow sales for current products.
Wii sales declined to 3.35 million units from 4.97 million units one year ago.
Nintendo in Oct. began sale of the Wii Black Console Bundle with New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Music CD at $149.99.
New titles include Kirby’s Return to Dreamland and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Nintendo will release Wii U, the successor the Wii hardware, in 2012.
