Retailer Amazon.com Inc. price cut pre-order sales for Konami Corp.’s Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 to under $40 in a new sale.

This week, the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Xbox 360 SKU holds a discount price of $39.99, 20 percent off the $49.99 MSRP.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, to be sold Nov. 8, will include Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Each title will utilize a new interface for HD resolutions, redrawn high-resolution 2D art, effects, and fonts, all-new Trophies and Achievements, ‘Transfarring System’ to transfer save data between the PS3 and PSP, and improved audio quality.

It carries an MSRP of $49.99.

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Limited Edition will include Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, 248-page art book, and exclusive box art by Yoji Shinkawa at $79.99.

The Xbox 360 250GB Holiday Value Bundle includes the Xbox 360 250GB hardware SKU, Fable III, Halo: Reach Digital Download, and 3-Month Xbox Live Gold Card at $299.99.

The Xbox 360 250GB Holiday Bundle Value with Kinect includes the Xbox 360 250GB hardware SKU, Kinect sensor, Kinect Adventure, Carnival Games Digital Download, and 3-Month Xbox Live Gold Card at $399.99.

Microsoft in Sept. began sale of the limited edition Xbox 360 320GB Gears of War 3 Bundle at $399.99.

The Xbox 360 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Bundle, to be sold Nov. 8, will include an Xbox 360 320GB SKU with custom Modern Warfare 3 graphics and sounds, two custom wireless controllers, special Avatar items, Black Wired Headset, and a copy of Modern Warfare 3 at $399.99.

In 2012 it will sell the Xbox 360 Limited Edition Star Wars Kinect Bundle at $449.99.
