Sony Corp. this week announced it will sell the Playstation Vita First Edition Bundle to U.S. retail Feb. 15, 2012, one week prior to the hardware launch date.
The Playstation Vita First Edition Bundle will include the PS Vita 3G / Wi-Fi SKU, 4GB Memory Card, limited edition case, a copy of Little Deviants, and will ship one week earlier than the stand-alone PS Vita SKU at $349.99.
The PS Vita will be sold in the U.S Feb. 22.
The handheld will launch simultaneously in Europe, Canada and Latin America the same day.
It will be sold in Japan Dec. 17.
The PS Vita will include dual analog sticks, a 5-inch multi-touch OLED display, 3G & GPS, front and rear touch panels, and a compass on three axes. It will utilize flash-memory game cards.
Hardware specifications include an ARM Cortex A9 4-core CPU, front camera, rear camera, built-in microphone, and Bluetooth 2.1.
The company will partner with AT&T to allow current customers to access Wi-Fi hotspots nationwide.
The PS Vita Party mode will allow users to chat with nearby owners. In addition, near will allow users to play with friends using their PSN ID.
