Media Create Co. this week said the Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 ranked No. 2 in hardware sales in the latest Japan retail activity.
The PS3 sold 28,596 units between Oct. 10 to Oct. 16 to rank No. 2 in overall hardware sales.
By comparison, the hardware sold 29,435 to rank third the week prior.
The hardware ranked three titles in the top 10, including Namco Bandai Games Inc.’s Ace Combat: Assault Horizon at No. 1, Konami Corp.’s World Soccer Winning Eleven 2012 at No. 3, and Capcom Co.’s Dead Rising: Off The Record at No. 7.
The Launch Trailer includes new story elements that dive into Drake’s past, in addition to new horseback riding, desert combat, and submerged vessel survival action.

The PSP ranked two titles in the top 10, including Bandai Namco Holdings Co.’s AKB1/48: Idol to Guam de Koishitara at No. 4 and Acquire Corp.’s Class of heroes Mono. Final: Shinnyusei wa Ohimesama at No. 8.
