Pre-order sales for EA Inc.’s Dance Central 2 for Microsoft Corp.’s Kinect hardware for the Xbox 360 increased this week at due to building demand for the sequel.

This week, Dance Central 2 held a 53 percent sales increase to rank at No. 49 in Amazon’s Video Games division.

This week, customers who pre-order Dance Central 2 will receive a $10 Credit toward a future purchase and 400 Microsoft Points at no additional cost.

Dance Central 2, to be sold Oct. 25, will include new tracks and new two-player co-op functionality.

It will be sold at $49.99.

Microsoft in June said it has sold 10 million Kinect and 10 million stand-alone Kinect titles globally.

Kinect, released Nov. 4, sells at $149.99.

Kinect launch titles include Kinect Sports, Kinect Joy Ride, Kinect Adventures!, Kinectimals, Game Party: In Motion, Your Shape: Fitness Evolved, Dance Central, The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout, and Sonic Free Riders.

In 2012 the Xbox 360 Limited Edition Star Wars Kinect Bundle will sell at $449.99.

Bundle SKUs include the Xbox 360 250GB Kinect Special Edition Bundle at $399.99 and the Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect bundle at $299.99.
