The PS3 sold 36,061 units between Sept. 12 to Sept. 18 to rank No. 2 in overall hardware sales.
By comparison, the hardware sold 64,786 to rank third the week prior.
The hardware ranked five titles in the top 10, including Bandai Namco Inc.’s Tales of Xilla at No. 2, Capcom Co.’s Resident Evil: Revival Selection at No. 3 and Monster Hunter Freedom HD at No. 6.
System Software Update 3.72 is a minor update said to improve system stability during use of PS3 format software. In addition, network services have been improved.
Sony Corp. this week said it will sell the Playstation 3 320GB Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Bundle at $299.99 this Nov.
The Playstation 3 320GB Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Bundle will include the PS3 320GB SKU, Dualshock 3 Controller, a copy of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and a 30-day Playstation Plus Membership Trial at $299.99.
