Nintendo Co.’s Star Fox 64 for the Nintendo 3DS ranked in the top 10 sales this week at GameStop Corp.’s online division post launch of the remaster SKU.

This week, Star Fox 64 ranked as the No. 8 best-selling product at Gamestop.com.

Star Fox 64, which began sale Sept. 9, is a remastered version of the Nintendo 64 classic with new 3D functionality.

It carries an MSRP of $39.99.

Nintendo Aug. 12 price cut the Nintendo 3DS handheld to $169.99, 33 percent off the former $249.99 MSRP.

The Nintendo 3DS Aqua Blue SKU and the Cosmic Black SKU $169.99 each.

The Nintendo 3DS Flame Red SKU sells at $169.99.

New titles expected to boost 3DS sales include Super Mario 3D Land in Nov. and Mario Kart in Dec.

Nintendo in Apr. said the Nintendo 3DS sold 3.61 million by end of the fiscal Mar., below the company’s four million unit projection.

Nintendo in July began offering streaming functionality by Netflix Inc. and a short-form video service to view 3D movie trailers, comedy clips and music videos.

Nintendo released the Nintendo 3DS handheld with 18 software titles Mar. 27.

The Nintendo 3DS includes two screens, a 3D Depth Slider, a Circle Pad, and a 2GB SD Card.

Functionality includes StreetPass to exchange game data between owners who pass one another.

Additionally, the hardware includes the Nintendo 3DS Camera software, Mii Maker, and the Nintendo eShop to download new software.

The Nintendo 3DS includes 3-D display technology that does not require the use of special glasses.

In addition, the 3DS is backwards compatible with Nintendo DS and DSi games.
