Pre-order sales for Nintendo Co.’s Super Mario 3D Land for the Nintendo 3DS ranked in the top 15 ‘Most Wished For’ products this week at Inc. post price drop of the 3DS hardware to Nintendo 3DS handheld to $169.99.

This week, Super Mario 3D Land ranked as the No. 15 ‘Most Wished For‘ product in Amazon’s Video Games division.

Super Mario 3D Land is a brand new 3D adventure that now includes the trademark Tanooki Raccoon Suit from Super Mario Bros. 3 for use in new 3D levels.

It will be sold in Nov.

Nintendo in Aug. price cut the Nintendo 3DS handheld to $169.99, 33 percent off the current $249.99 MSRP beginning Aug. 12.

The Nintendo 3DS Flame Red SKU will sell Sept. 9 at $169.99.

New titles expected to boost 3DS sales include Super Mario 3D Land in Nov. and Mario Kart in Dec.

The Nintendo eShop online store includes a free Pokedex 3D application to allow users to view Pokemon from Pokemon Black and Pokemon White in 3D.

Nintendo released Nintendo 3DS handheld launched with 18 software titles Mar. 27.

First-party titles include Pilotwings Resort, Steel Diver, and nintendogs + cats.

Third-party titles include Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, The Sims 3, Madden NFL Football, Pro Evolution Soccer 2011, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, Ridge Racer 3D, Super Monkey Ball, Bust-A-Move Universe, Samurai Warriors, Asphalt 3D, Combat of Giants, Rayman 3D, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Shadow Wars.

Titles carry an MSRP of $39.99 each.

The Nintendo 3DS includes two screens, a 3D Depth Slider, a Circle Pad, and a 2GB SD Card.

Functionality includes StreetPass to exchange game data between owners who pass one another.

Additionally, the hardware includes the Nintendo 3DS Camera software, Mii Maker, and the Nintendo eShop to download new software.

The Nintendo 3DS includes 3-D display technology that does not require the use of special glasses.

In addition, the 3DS is backwards compatible with Nintendo DS and DSi games.
