Target Corp. stores this week began offering a $50 Bonus with the purchase of Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect bundle in a new hardware promotion.

This week, customers who purchase the Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect bundle will receive a $50 Gift Card instantly.

Kinect began sale Nov. 4 at $149.99.

The Kinect hardware, formerly dubbed Project Natal, is a slender bar that sits near a television to detect player movement and sound.

Menu navigation demonstrations include facial recognition to auto-login to Xbox Live and waving through menu screens.

Microsoft this holiday will sell the Xbox 360 Limited Edition Star Wars Kinect Bundle, which will include the R2-D2 blue-and-white themed 320GB console, custom Xbox 360 Wireless Controller inspired by C-3PO, white Kinect sensor, Kinect Star Wars game at $449.99.

Current Xbox 360 stand-alone SKUs include the Xbox 360 250GB hardware at $299.99 and the Xbox 360 4GB hardware at $199.99.

Bundle SKUs include the Xbox 360 250GB Kinect Special Edition Bundle at $399.99 and the Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect bundle at $299.99.
